WASHINGTON, DC, May 22, 2025 –Amy Andryszak, President & CEO of the Interstate ±«Óãtv Association of America (INGAA), released the following statement upon the passage of the budget reconciliation package in the U.S. House of Representatives:
“INGAA applauds the U.S. House of Representatives for prioritizing energy issues in the budget reconciliation “One, Big, Beautiful Bill” package. If signed into law, this bill will streamline permitting processes for critically needed energy infrastructure.
“Specifically, this bill will provide energy infrastructure developers more certainty related to reviews under the National Environmental Policy Act and authorizations under the ±«Óãtv Act. These measures will remove the most common source of multi-year delays and costly vacaturs that have plagued critical energy infrastructure projects.
“Additionally, the bill will allow operators to continue investing in natural gas pipeline infrastructure by renewing 100-percent bonus depreciation and enhanced interest deductibility.
“As a next step, INGAA encourages the Senate to act swiftly in considering these measures and to similarly prioritize policies that promote investment in energy infrastructure and improve the efficiency of permitting processes.”
